IN THE WORDS OF NICOLE: “MY STORY”

As long as I can remember, I have always been intuitive and had a deep love and connection to animals and art.

In the last year of high school, I was accepted to the very first Governors’ School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA and then off to (VCU) Virginia Commonwealth University for Graphic Design, a top art school in the country.

I have always been an abstract painter, nonrepresentational, looking for feeling, meaning in the colors and forms on the canvas. As a painter, I am the vehicle in the translation from soul to canvas, pulling what is inside and bringing that emotion outside on to the painting surface, in color and form.

I have also always asked myself, what more can I do for animals?  After years of volunteering and working in shelters, fundraising and creating innovative art projects to help raise money for animal groups, I didn’t feel like I was getting any closer to my animal friends.  A couple years before Covid and after a lifetime of intuitive taps and nudges I started to awaken, I took classes in psychic development and mediumship. After a year of working with humans I started training in Animal Communication. I knew I had found a way to help all types of animals, wild and domestic and their humans at the same time.

In 2021 both my in-laws passed within two weeks of each other and in 2022 my loving mother was diagnosed with dementia and passed in 2023. I went through a profound shift in consciousness. During this time, I witnessed my mother’s dementia strip away years of doubt, fear, and regret.  Her deepest self - pure consciousness was revealed.  It was like I was looking straight through to her heart light, who she came into this world as. The glow and love that emanated from her were contagious. This remarkable sight inspired me to visually represent what I was feeling and seeing. Painting has always been a way for me to process emotions. As passionately as my mother supported me as an artist, I felt equally as passionate to pick up my paintbrush and begin painting souls. Almost effortlessly, I painted a masterpiece: a visual representation, an emotional and energetic imprint, of my mother’s and my soul together titled Mom and Me.

That was the beginning of a lifetime of understanding energy and how to harness its power to channel messages from animals and humans living and deceased, or any sentient being on to the painting’s surface.
